From Ukraine to Virginia: Olesia's Story My name is Olesia, and I'm a florist originally from the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine. In 2022, my family and I moved to Virginia seeking a safe haven from the war. The kindness and support we received here inspired me to continue working with flowers, something I've loved doing for many years. That’s why I created Olesia’s Flowers, a family-run business that serves the Northern Virginia area I now call home. Combining my experience in Ukraine with the beauty of my new surroundings in Virginia, I create handcrafted floral arrangements using high-quality flowers and traditional techniques. I believe flowers have the power to bring joy and brighten people's lives, and I'm committed to creating beautiful, long-lasting arrangements that are accessible to everyone.
